I got up to "meet me in the bedroom." I had to force myself to get there. There's no story here. It's just verbose descriptions and weirdly written dialogue. No clue what the hell they're talking about and there's nothing to hook me into finding out.
Your prose isn't amazing either. Aside from >>22556399 there's the opening.
>This prospector’s highway would go nowhere but to that little land beyond which no more highways went and all along the way the winter wagons made their slow wrangle south, snowblind and buried by frozen rain.
Make that 2 sentences
>“Things in the country aint the same as they is in the city. But things this far out aint even the same as they is in the country.”
Are we just supposed to guess who says this? Are we also supposed to guess what the hell they're talking about?
>Now slept the souls that needed no saving and out came the wolves.
Now this line I like. If only it had narrative weight.
>The window went up and the truck pulled down the driveway into the soft snow and parked and a pair of bodies came out and made their work.
*The window went up. The truck pulled down the driveway and parked in the soft snow. A pair of bodies (dullest way to describe two people) came out and made their work.

If you were my editor I'd ask for a refund.

Hey, i'm not saying fundies are perfect. Hard to put people in their place when they become part of an organization that goes beyond the law of the land, such as multinational cartels. When you have people who can call off the government's military due to the possibility of civil war because one of your sons got taken (Mexico Oct 19th, El Chapo's son nearly got taken by the government), Then you probably should look at having only one major player in the country (the government) rather than two instilling punishment on its citizens.

I'm just surprised at the amount of backlash that Peterson gets, he doesn't seem to go out of his way to provoke or start controversy - and even when his words gets politicised (which doesn't fit well, but any public figure in the mass media era gets assigned a role on the "left-right" spectrum regardless of intent) he seems to liken himself as a classical liberal, rather than a conservative or reactionary

I don't lurk here, I just had a fun idea for a thread and figured this would be the most appropriate place to post it. Rn I'm reading a few pages of threads to make sure this board isn't too heavily-condensed with inane faggotry and autism for me to bother posting here, which so far it appears to be, unfortunately. However, I like responding to threads that ask something personal, so here I am. C'est la 4chan, I guess

Hey all, trying to remember a book I read AGES ago when I was a kid (though it was not a kids book)

Here's what I remember.
-there was an alternate history angle, our earth but cut into a ton of different nations and religions.
-One of the characters had a "double revolver" basically a revolver with two barrels and chambers side by side.
-the character with the double revolver was going to kill his step father while he slept with it, but decided against it.
-one of the characters was a slave girl.
-one of the characters was conscripted into a hyper-religious army and had to hide that he was good at drawing or else he's get in trouble
--All the characters had dreams that caused them to dream of the others.

Sorry I don't remember much, but it's all I got, if anyone has a clue of what it is, I'd really appreciate it.

I don't write. I rarely read. It's something I tell myself I enjoy but I never get around to it and instead waste my life sitting in front of my computer refreshing webpages all day. When I do read, comprehending what I read is difficult. I often find myself rereading sentences again and again. Writing is terrible. I have nothing interesting to say and even if I did I couldn't put it into words well. I know all these things get better with practice but I just don't do it for some reason.
