I agree brother, if one has decided to renounce and become a monastic then action is no longer needed, but for us who remain in human society and who maintain homes and families we are compelled to act by our circumstances. In the latter case we can cultivate knowledge and harmonious action side by side, the Bhagavad-Gita explains this path beautifully. While remaining in the world we can take action to rectify the problems of modernity and to help spread truth while letting our actions effortlessly proceed from a place of true metaphysical knowledge
