Should I start with the Greeks ? Then Romans ? I've seen stuff about the Bronze Age too. When do I read and study the Bible, the Quran and other texts such as the Sira, the two Sahih, the Talmud ? How should I balance history, literature, philosophy, economics, politics ?

I'm lost right now.

He's full of shit. It's a good chart that is only lacking a good history book on all of Greece from Mycenae to Alexander the Great to serve as a primer, could maybe use a little more Greek literature like the Anabasis and some more Greek plays, the addition of Aristotle's Poetics if it is not included in that compendium of Aristotle's work, perhaps even a side-quest on learning Attic or Koine Greek. Otherwise, the essentials are down to the T, it's a good chart.

There's another chart that flows around that covers the weak areas for the most part (plays and all that jazz), but has a lot of unnecessary secondary source fluff that will get on your nerves quickly if you're looking for the juicy shit, and it is missing in other areas such as full coverage of philosophy.

Here is pic 2, good additional historical sources and coverage of plays but too much "here's Odysseus's world xD" and incomplete coverage of Greek philosophy

See what I mean by "a synthesis is needed"? I'm terrible at editing so I don't want to do it myself

What will I actually miss if I just read a bit through the sophists, the entire wikipedia article on Socrates and then read the Republic?
I'm not looking to be an expert on the greeks or anything I kind of just want to get a basic understanding of them so that I can read the later western philosophy.
