I've been reading the Culture series recently and it's been leaving a sour taste in my mouth.
I like the space opera, I like the hypertech, I like the humor, I can stand the writing, but the plots are just too dumb.
I don't know if it's because I'm already 4 books in but I've been able to tell what is gonna happen in the books sooner and sooner, Excession being real bad at this.
Where can I go if I want the Culture but with better stories?
