Has anyone used Libby before?

I've never used it because if they're not going to have it in print, there's no real reason why I shouldn't just download it from Libgen.

>invest in businesses, become benevolent silent partner
>these businesses include running it for good, high-paying local jobs (no H1Bs, no talentless diversity hires, etc.) to vanity projects (video game studio) to secret projects.

>its impossible for us to exist
>we exist anyway
>therefore God by definition must exist
it's that simple why do people still argue about this?

Do you guys stop to look up definitions of words you don't know? I'm reading blood meridian right now and there have been a few words I have never seen before. I'm not sure if it's worth pausing to look them up when they are obviously outdated and not used anymore. On the other hand, widening my vocabulary would of course be a good thing, but still no one uses these words in the modern era.

I heard a theory that the current SJW woke movement or whatever you want to call it is just the modern, secular continuation of the Puritan movement that started the New England colonies in America, and that all these ridiculous new social progressive movements originate in America because it descends directly from the Puritan culture that started the country. What do you think???

If you're willing to put in the effort, could you convert me?

The only experience I've had with analytic philosophy is the introductory subject for the philosophy course I'm studying. It seems too cold, too distant, too formulaic. The continental philosophy subjects I've done are full of life and the philosophers who espouse it are passionate. Like I said, I am open to warm to analytic philosophy, but it seems so heartless.

Fucking uni is cutting back on continental courses too

I believe he suffered as well.
Suffering is needed, its an evolutionary advantage, gives you motivation to actually do thing or to accept (or initiate)changes.

If people would be happy with berry gathering and monkey hunting we would still live in a shit huts MAX.

I'm setting a tesis such that: Pain, fear and other ways of suffering are the only things that motivates people to seek improvement or absolutes...
