This tradition didn’t survive, but it was reborn online. The internet is the place of anonimity (hey anons), a place where everyone can be what they can’t be in real life (hey /pol/ and /b/ and social networks profiles and loverboy21), virtual reality that is for some people more real than real reality.
The irony of this situation is that we live in a culture that is in itself a counter-culture. It is truly a post-ironic new sincerity world, a bump on the head of the subversive irony of post-modernist progressives.

I think the things are changing, I think they started changing, actually I think I even know the exact date they started changing: when Houellebecq published Submissions – 7th of January 2015, the date of Charlie Hebdo shooting.
