Here are /lit/'s conclusions on the following books, so now you guys don't have to make ten threads about them every day:

>Infinite Jest
Long, and perhaps gratuitous, but well-written and entertaining nonetheless. It's a good read, but only undertake it if you have patience (and time).

>A Song of Ice and Fire (Series)
Pop Fantasy by an okay writer. It's got some redeeming qualities, but if you didn't start reading it way back when it was first released, just watch the show. It's just as good, if not better. Just don't expect to have a conversation about it with someone who read the books. The TV series is completely different, especially after season 2.

>Atlas Shrugged
You'll either think it's bullshit or great depending on your political/ideological inclinations. Still, Rand is a talented writer and you should probably give it a shot if you are interested in philosophy at all.

>The Fault in our Stars
Shitty, YA fiction targeted at people with vaginas. What the fuck else would it be? If you're a teenaged girl with particularly bad taste, read it. Otherwise, don't.
