I just finished On The Road, which had been sitting on my bookshelf for years. I enjoyed it for the most part, especially the ending, although I felt it could have been a bit shorter. Anyhow, are Big Sur and Dharma Bums worth exploring? Is Burroughs high-school tier trash? Explain your concerns.

I'm currently reading "On the Road", my first venture into beat writing. I love it so far. Is he the best beat writer?

Thinking about picking up Dharma Bums next. Maybe Big Sur.
