Pessimists say life, in general, sucks, which I agree with. But what about rich sociopaths who only seek pleasure. Even if their happiness comes at the costs of others' suffering, there is no denying that they are happy most of the time. Wouldn't then, hedonism be a perfect counterargument for pessimism?
