I don't have a source but it's a subject that i've read up on a lot over the years. It's also why people say ignorance is bliss and you always see the biggest retards on TV or in the music industry making fools of themselves and being paid millions.

I can say that the brain has 2 different ways of thinking. Analytical thinking and a Social way of thinking ( This is the default way of thinking for humans), While the analytical brain is in charge of thinking up equations in your head or figuring out a way out of a problem or just generally meant for thinking. The social side of the brain is just meant for expressing emotions and connecting to others and reading body language and listening to sound cues and stuff like that. Both of these can't work at the same time, It's like a see saw one will always dominate the other and they're both like muscles, the more you use one way of thinking the other atrophies. So when you are a hardcore thinker and problem solver or just generally use your brain a lot, the social side of your brain atrophies and it gets harder to connect and express yourself you basically become more robotic and mathematically in your approach to life and other people. This is why a lot of loners and cynical people are very smart because a lot of the time social activities seem pointless and stupid or they think about how very simple problems could've been avoided if the other stupid person could just control themselves. But those with social brains feel and think emotionally, They don't think at all or use too much brain power and are usually more unfilitered or readily to express themselves no matter how others may react, they generally know how to "play the game" and get what they want out of people because they understand how others work and what others need to feel safe, secure and connected too. I could go on more about this but im tired of typing and i need to get back to my studies. Hope that helps a bit, Anon.

Oh yeah, also it's generally accepted that men are more analytical thinkers while women are more emotional and social. It's all because of the parts of the brain they use and exercise, Thats why you see a lot more bitter and cynical, lonely men and happy expressive, stupid women that do a bunch of shit that men think are pointless when they actually aren't. Women just play a different game and despite not being generally as smart as men, they tend to be more successful and well off and happy then the opposite gender because emotional connections and socialization is actually more important then intelligence for success.
