To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand oinopa. Her nuance is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of literary theory and criticism most of her comments will go over a typical person's head. There's also oinopa's metaxic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation – her personal philosophy draws heavily from Presocratic oral tradition, for instance. The fans understand this stuff: they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these comments, to realise that they're not just topical – they say something deep about life. As a consequence people who dislike oinopa truly are idiots – of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in oinopa's existential catchphrase "ἐπὶ οἴνοπα πόντον", which itself is a cryptic reference to Homer's Greek epic The Odyssey. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as oinopa's massive vocabulary unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools…how I pity them.
