Rubens has great armoured figures. Although it is a completely different genre his being portraits of historical figures.

No that's not it. There are many paintings which are not pornographic and feature naked women. The difference is how the artists approaches that subject and depicts it. His intent really.

I would call all the paintings with knights here a bitch kitschy and overly sentimental. But I really dislike the pre-Raphaelite brotherhood so there's that.
