I didn't think literary consumerism was a thing, but it apparently is. Especially because these same people can't get into any classics or pivotal genre works.

Why is there such a divide between classic fantasy and modern fantasy readers? It's like majority of latter fans cannot get into former.

Why are so many modern readers like this, though? It inevitably means you can't read anything unless it's modern because that's too "different" for you.
