ITT (internet topic today)

Share books that are not worth it, and say why.
If I wrote like retard I would not be published. So I’m not going to let someone else slide with it just because he has a name. Also I had no idea what a calamite was until I came across the word in this book and had to look it up and I wa ask disgusted I dropped it right then and there

>The boy drank the ice-cold bottle of Coca-Cola (TM) in one gulp. Wow, he said, this is the greatest drink ever, papa.
>That's right, son, let's go find another Coca-Cola Company (C) Coca-Cola (TM). We'll look everywhere if we have to, because it will be worth it. We'll go down every street, if we have to, every avenue, every Road.

Seriously McCarthy?

The Road is the last "great american novel" ever written.

If you disagree, you're a liar.

While there are many books I like, I can not think of any that made me feel like this after finishing, perhaps some vidya and anime but that is retarded and I don't like vidya anymore. I do remember though struggling through my dad's copy of Cormac McCarthy's The Road when I was a kid for a school book report, and though I disliked it (if I read it now I bet I would like it) I remember many scenes of the book that stuck with me, the ending was quite profound and stark, I guess because it did not have a happy ending like most books I was used to being a kid.

Can you imagine living in a world like this? Seriously. Imagine living in a world like the ones depicted in Metro 2033, Roadside Picnic, shit imagine living in the kind of settings depicted in Fallout, Mad Max, Underrail, etc. What a hellish existence. Dealing with psi beetles, radiation, cannibalism, forced to live underground in tunnels and never being able to see the sun every again.
