Does having a remotely positive opinion on museums necessarily make me a "fanboy"?

How does one consume a work without also consuming the medium?

On top of these questions your post carries the assertion that I am somehow incapable of appreciating the aesthetic merit of processing plants, when the only reason I brought up gravel (admittedly incorrectly based on a prior response) was because I already find piles of gravel to be oddly aesthetically appealing.

Assuming an artist were to create an aesthetically appealing pile of gravel do you not think that some people who have never seen piles of gravel in their life in such a fashion might be made to think spontaneous thoughts on the nature of gravel if they were to see it? Do the museums in your opinion offer no functional boon to society? Are they an inherently controlling force? If so what separates them from your own preconceived notions?

Apparently they're 10 tons of handcrafted ceramic sunflower seeds to be precise. Based on my skimming the write up on the Tate website there's also a lot of thematic significance in Chinese Communist propaganda and sunflower seeds being equated to people, so it's not like it's coming out of a bubble.

While not a communist myself I can still appreciate the impressive nature of the build and some of the assertions as to what it meant.

For me though the piece reminded me of gravel, and that reminded me of home, but beyond that the piece is now embroiled in a general discussion on the topic of art as well, which lends it yet more significance by default. This pile of commie rocks has become contested linguistic territory through which the values of /lit/ are to be brushed to the surface.

It's brought up in The Odyssey if I recall correctly. The Iliad ends well before the war does.

Don't recall that one, is it from another of the series or a separate survivalist series?

Not on your side? They must both the other!

Truly the propoganda is all-powerful.

This. You make more of an impact than you could ever truly know. It's impossible to quantify how good or how bad, so why not strive to make sure it's positive?

What like traditional portraits? Cameras beat these long ago.

Enough to pay the bills. Seems to be growing too.

Traditional publishing is effort death.

Greetings /lit/, I am curious of your opinion on Grammarly and services like it.

As writing becomings increasingly AI-assisted will the human element be left behind? Or will the humanity inherent to the usage of said tool be elevated in some manner?

With the increasing prevalence of these sorts of advanced spellchecks, I think it's important to discuss how they might shape the future of literature in the next hundred-odd years or so.

It seems a goal for computer entertainment and art could very well include the ability to write a novel and have it generate a movie or a videogame out of the words alone, no coding required.

Based on the description I read this sounds quite interesting OP. What did you think of it and what are its strengths in your opinion? I'm curious.

Level 4 thanks to Pynchon and DeLillo.

Interested in picking up Woolf and Nabakov at some point.

What do I win now?
