Persepolis Rising by James S. A. Corey
>your thoughts on it
Well I've read the Expanse books 1 to 6 before and just quit them there and forgot why. Few years later I bought the remaining 3 books when the latest one came out and I started to read them all again from the book 1. When I got to the book 6 I remembered why I didn't bother with the follow ups. It was boring as hell. The whole series is filled with action but in the book 6 they did a full 180 and just ditched all the action and filled over 500 pages with annoying characters with their inner thoughts and literally nothing happens. So I finished it again and now started reading the book 7, Persepolis Rising. And phew, I'm glad i delivers. I'm currently on page 138 and there's been enough action, great pacing and interesting new factions to make up with the boring shit in book 6. I just hope it keeps up. Also it seems to be going a full Warhammer 40k so that alone makes it interesting.

Are any of the Warhammer 40k books up to /lit/ standard?
I know hardly anything about 40k but what I do know greatly intrigues me

Oh yes, there's a lot of crazy 40k lore. Here's the timeline of the lore.
