Indiana University - Bloomington

Major: Business Management. I thought it would be a good idea because I wasnt particularly invested in any one high school subject. But man, this sucks. The courses are boring banal groupwork stuff, it's like a Gen Ed degree for wage cuckery. I hate business majors. I don't align with the culture at ALL. I don't party, I've never drank yet and wouldn't feel comfortable doing it except with close friends. And they care about sports way too much... I want to be a force for good change in the world but people in business school don't seem to think about that stuff, at all. They want to have a good time now and get a high salary when they're out. No thoughts about the meaning and impact of the work. Maybe that's more common that I'd like to think, but I thought this kind of stuff would come up in college more often, stuff about why we're going to do what we do.
I am probably going to change my major to economics and/or math, maybe education but I'm probably not cut out for that work. It's something of a bummer since Business at IUB is like a top 15 program nationally, but it is what is. I want a real education, not a 4 year trade school to learn how to use excel.

Guess I already covered how I feel about classes broadly. I liked a data analysis class becuase it was learning-by-doing and I was really fascinated by microeconomics. I took a class on the advanced study of literature because I was preparing for a switch to English, but I wasn't nearly as passionate for it as I expected. Similar for a creative writing class, I want to create things but my reptile brain prefers short term reward via consumption of youtube and 4chan.

Zoom classes are a joke. Many courses canceled large swathes of material, including dropping midterms and several projects. Only two classes mandate attendance and I only go to one because 'Business Statistics' is both horribly boring and terribly superficial. It's just really badly taught. I can't function well in big lecture halls. Why not just give us video tutorials at that point!

I want to be shrunken down and found by a catboy in a forest and teased and tasted and swallowed and digested
