Don Quixote has been pronounced as “Don Quicks-oat” for centuries. Pronouncing foreign words in a foreign way is a sure sign of a middle middle-class pleb. America is middle-class: the country so they have these ridiculous hyperforeignisms like “naïveté” and they try to insert French (the most middle-class language) into everything as well. Anyway if you really wanted to say it the right way you’d say “Don Key-show-tay”.
