The idiot sites Brutalism, a modern branch of architecture, he seems to be saying it has no soul or beauty for its secularism. But this is just one little pipsqueak opinion. You like the old churches, FINE. I’m not even a fan of Brutalism, but its come and mostly gone, a specialized style that’s mostly morphed into other styles. He doesn’t understand art because he thinks in Platonic/Christian terms of permanence, a static world of forms/souls.
So I understated it. He doesn’t just not get that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, he doesn’t understand the way the universe works.
