Way too much shia material in this chart. Sunni Literature is much more valuable if your interested in Sufiism as most Sufi Saints were hardcore Sunni Jurists. Also Sunni Islam is much more accesible for converts or people interested in Islam. There is historically more literature and more resources in the modern world. Also Sunni Islam is a lot more personal then Shia Islam where having an imam that you follow is almost required.

Also Malcolm X's "Letters from Mecca" is a very good book that shows the natural progression from nonbeliever to believer.

im talking less about civil wars and more about conquest. Like the Ottoman empire vs Timurid empire. But of course you are right about Muslims killing Muslims has existed since day one.

Islamo-Mongol cultures exist until today. 3/4 Mongol Hordes converted to Islam. Also I believe the Mughal empire was ruled by Khan decendants. And if you consider the ottomans to be spiritual descendants of turko-mongols tradition then there was some philosophy there.
