I was fooled once again by one of the many threads about stupid American e-celebs you guys post here instead of read books, so now you will have to also bear my pain.*
So, some days ago, Tao Lin posted an episode of the podcast in pic related:

I was already tricked by /lit/ into buying Tai Pei, which is a horrible book through and through. Now I was tricked into listening to this. I must admit, part of the allure for me was the topic, namely autism – because the only thing that made me think about buying something else from Tao was his article about autism (useless to say I have changed my mind).
I have been less than half an hour into this. Tao is autistic, and it’s sad, but maybe he has something to say. But the hosts… Oh, the hosts! Anna Kachiyan and Dasha Nekrasova: I have never heard anything more vapid, superficial, full of harmful stereotypes, half-ideas and overall LACKING CULTURE OF ANY KIND than this fucking podcast. Jesus christ.
It’s been 30 minutes of two braindead girls fucking GIGGLING at an autistic Asian man, ending any sentence with an interrogative inflexion. The jokes about having dated autists, the questions about “autistic sex life” (asked to poor Tao), the general probing Tao with questions trying to confirm the stereotype of the autistic genius (possibly worth having sex with), all this punctuated here and there by GIGGLES and vapid stupid considerations about the most serious stuff – existential horror, government assassinations, etc. – are americans okay? Can anything been taken seriously by these New York based, self entitled idiots? And the fucking psychedelics, once again: millennials looking for the Truth (sorry: THEIR truth, the truth in the expression “speaking your truth”) in some chemical experience... I apologize on behalf of my generation for having forced the world to witness countless conversation on how ahyouhasca made you understand things etc (and then you kept living the same disengaged, individualistic stuff without ever challenging the status quo in any way). My only hope is that our cringe will be washed away by that of future generations.

*Yes, you are right: I should not multiply ugliness by making threads about it. Take this thread as my final oath to never comment on the Tao Lins, Walduns, YouTuber and fake e-celebs you talk about here. I swear I’ll also try to read a book instead!
