How do people manage to read books in loud areas or in public?
I find it so hard to take in any of the information or story when there is even the slightest bit of noise. It takes ages for me to get fully settled in and to finally begin reading.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a remedy for it? I've been thinking about buying some wireless earbuds to play some ambient music while I read but I don't know if it will work. I'm fine with ambient sounds like a computers fan and of course, ambient music like Far horizons from the Skyrim soundtrack.

Anyone else fallen out of love of reading?

I used to read all the time, but as I've gotten older, I think I've come to accept that literature just isn't as a good a medium as movies. Between the visuals, music, and being able to actually see the characters, action, and emotion, film is 10x more effective at stirring emotions. I've never cried at a book, but I cry at movies. I've never felt scared from a horror novel, but I do get scared from horror movies...

I think it's time we come to admit that books are just kind of trash, bros.

will reading 30 pages a day make me smarter? how many pages do I need to read a day for brain gains?
