Why does it feel like Philosophy is a cult?

Am I too autistic for continental philosophy? My interpretation of Genaology of Morals seems basic and rigid as fuck compared to my normie SJW peers who pull elaborate emotional shit out of their ass. Makes me almost dislike the folks that lick his ass constantly
