Since we are in the Kali Yuga and the 'end times' of christianity, there is no rebirth possible out of the older forms. A golden age will come only with a catastrophe. The majority of non-westerners are also westernized at this point so the whole world has to change.

The problem with evolution, from a metaphysical stand point is that it imply there were a world without consciousness. That is, without the separate sense of I, the ego. In reality, in order to distinguish itself from God, the world and humans needs the illusion of the ego. The illusion that we are separated from God. The illusion is the fondation of the existence separated from it's principle.
The evolution suppose there was a world without humans. It is materialistic and think the foundation to the world is the matter or atoms, but in reality what makes this world is : God (the principle) and our own spiritual limitations due to sin.
The separate consciousness is the definition of humans, so if there were this ego, the human existed. And if there is the possibility of ego, there is the one of it's destruction (i.e. deification).

It doesn't matter if they were in a more ethereal form, but is can't be in a lesser form as presuppose the evolutionist. Because if these lesser animals had the sense of I, and were gatekeeper of the sense of separation between God and humans they would be humans. Not that they are not conscious of their own existence (Descartes btfo), but that they don't have a principle of consciousness independant of their material form. They are the material manifestation of the sense and of life, we are the "manifestation of" the consciousness that it depends on. In this we rejoin the medieval thought that humans are capable of God while animals aren't.

The evolution, without any evidence, suppose the more comes from the less, but that can't be true.

Also it's progressist while metaphysically things can only get worst since it is the way lighting function (I'm using an analogy).
"spiritual" people that believe in evolution didn't think well about it so I assume they are just not "well turned" in a spiritual way. Because it contradicts basic metaphysical "principles".

Guenon says there can be no really inert matter as it would mean something without qualities. Even the concept of matter is not traditional, since there is just levels of participations to the divine and that the matter is not something separated from the rest.
So the properties of now gross matter have changed in time and one can suppose it is just, in a way, the dejections of the spiritual bodies of our ancestors. Dejection in the sense that it is the lower part of their conciousness that stays in our own, weak ignorant materialistic that we are.
Also if the matter were consciouness it means the matter were spiritual (so human) and then latter started "hardening" as the creation is getting cold because of our straying away from the principle.

that's if you take the cyclic view of time meme seriously, otherwise there's not much to take from Evola from a mainstream point of view

even then Evola in most of his books sort of seems to point to a possibility of regeneration through some sort of personal will, while other traditionalists like Guenon were more clear in that there's not anything to do or to solve, the cycle must end when it reaches the maximum evil and decadence and only from there regeneration is possible when the next cycle begins
