I've asked this on /pol/ but realized they're literal children and this board is by far the most intelligent and educated. Where do you see the world heading in the next couple hundred years in terms of political and social form?

It really looks humanity is heading towards a totalitarian technocracy. 'Smart cities' basically being gigantic high tech prisons with AI monitoring everything through surveillance cameras, drones and sensors. Every move, conversation and transaction will be registered and evaluated in real time.

Only electronic currency paid via biometrics. Only 'autonomous vehicles' that are shared. Only streamed media. You will not possess anything anymore. No vehicle, no media, no monetary value. Everything is provided as 'allowance' by an all-seeing one world government that effectively replaces the role of parents, friends and gods.

Being robbed of all autonomy, humans will become more machine-like and things like art, music and culture will disappear.

Basically a police state that makes Orwell seem like an optimist. Or do we still have hope at this point?
