Who do people hate more, Shallan or Denna?

I cannot get into Sanderson. I tried starting the Stormlight Archives and while it had a nice start, it just kind of fell apart. Especially the characters. I barely made it half way into the second book and by then Shallan became unbearable.

I've put it down for now, but I might try again later when there are more books.

I had The Stormlight Archive series recommended to me. I liked the beginning but as it went on it just got more annoying to read. Especially Shallan who I couldn't stand the more her chapters progressed.

I stopped reading halfway through the second book.

Do you mean the prologues? Those are necessary in a way. The universe is just too Big.

The book only really starts when Kaladin shows up.

Apart from that, its one of the best books I've ever read. The second one is even better.

Sanderson is amazing, but he still needs improvement. The stormlight archive is his best series so far. Mist born should have been one book. The 1st is great. The second, a disappointment.

As much as I enjoyed Mistborn I wouldn't recommend it. It's a fine story but lacks a lot of world building.

The Stormlight Archive is the best Epic Fantasy Series I've ever read. I found myself having skin shivers during the epilogues. It's THAT good.

What is your favourite series or novel?

Personally mine is The Stormlight Archive.

It's Sandersons best work yet and it seems he'll improve with each iteration.

I haven't read The Magicians, but since it's going to be finished soon you should go for that one first, then let us know how it holds up.
After you can take your time with Stormlight, it's going to be at least a year and a half until the third book.

Kelsier is mah nigga. His fight scenes are really well done, when I read it it's like a movie or chinese cartoon playing in my mind.
