>the greatest 20th century books are all about war and strife

Just finished this and man...there's just that feeling of solitude and void after finishing a masterpiece. It truly lived up to the hype. Thanks for the anons that recommended it after "A farewell to arms".

I'm about to look for more books like this, I think there's one called "Gravity's Rainbow". Do you think it'd be a proper continuation to Remarque? Or what are other good non-cucked war novels?

All quiet on the western front. If it doesn't toughen you up, i fear nothing will do.

Let the months and years come, they can take nothing from me, they can take nothing more. I am so alone, and so without hope that I can confront them without fear. The life that has borne me through these years is still in my hands and my eyes. But so long as it is there it will seeks its own way out, heedless of the will that is within me.
