Norton Anthology of English Literature, 9th Edition. It was the textbook for my English 101 and 102 class that I took in high school, which was the best class I ever took. Phenomenal teacher who really cared, and the textbook really helped me understand when I was a retarded kid with only a surface level understanding of the majority of things being referenced in poetry.

Also if you want a list of text from the different periods, just like get a book like pic related. Just make sure you don't get one that translates the middle English stuff and you'll be fine, most don't anyway
