Corporations are interested in your consumer habits, the CIA is not. Literally any purchase you make using digital currency will be monitored, either through your bank, ebay, paypal, amazon, ect. I've bought his books, along with hundreds of others on amazon and ebay, and I can guarantee you that I am on a "watch list", just as every other consumer is, but that which is watching isn't interested in the words between the pages, only that you continue to consume and presumably pay pay your taxes.
That being said, there are certain materials that the authorities keep a close eye on, but those materials will not be available on the open market.
