Here's the thing, there is a tendency, in someone who just exited adolescence, to be look down with condescendingly on anyone who enjoyed the things they used to.

When I was 12 for example, I immediately stopped watching cartoons, and tried listening to more music. Anyone who watched the cartoons I had used to watch, I looked on them with disdain, and felt somehow more "mature" than them. But this is a pitfall, and it is to miss the fact that life is a journey with phases, and revisitation of old phases.

You see that on here with some people calling certain books "entry level" as though they won't re read them when they're forty, if they truly loved them the first time.

All of us on here are at different life phases, and have different reasons for coming here. We will feel others are irritating, and stuck in phases we have already "transcended," but to act on these feelings and talk down to those people is to alienate both yourself and the person you're talking down to. Nothing good can come of it.
