You could and OP probably should write about it, doesnt matter if he is virgin or not. These dudes love to compare themselves to these writters thinking they were as obessed as they are with sex and women.

Just received a 30/50 for my essay (masters). How do I improve grades on that?

One of the feedback was:
1. You introduction need to give a more specific outline your structure rather than stating in general what territory you will cover.

>Is it in a sense Nietzschean?
What? Creating a imperative moral system that tries to rule over everybody to justify as if your actions were for some greater cause, while treating people less as individuals but as racial stigmas like "white men"? That is the exact oposite of Nietz.

Im not.

Might aswell be more in touch with friends and family than you.
I live in a small town in a more "tradicional" european country. All my family and
childhood friends live in less than 5 mins from me. Its never been more comfy.

The fact that you are jumping to such quick ad hominems just tells me that you are just really coping. Go die for your greater cause then, i dont give a shit about it.

Not previous anon.
Got memed into reading that. I was honestly a bit dissapointed. Turgenev's depiction of the "nihilist" is just some pseud fedora that believes only in the "biology" of things. I would expect more of a conservative vs nihilist debate but the story simply unfolds into a bunch of bad turn of events for the "nihilist" and making him falling into a spirituality in end.
The structure is also very repetitive, with always an entire chapter dedicated to talking about some characters past after his introduction. Also his way of describing things is a bit annoying, specially with clothing, giving more often such useless and shitless details that you often forget the whole picture.
Also Fenitchka is a basic bitch that got away to easily for just being a woman.
Dont know why Turgenev is so much praised, he is one of the weakest 19th century russian writters that i read.

>but I think there's something admirable in making that conscious choice.
It isnt most of the time a "conscious" as if they are aware of the "sense of belonging" instincts.
>I don't see what's sad about it.
Its sad and bad, falling so blindly into that sense is dangerous and a key to enter pure slave morality. If you want any confirmation just look up sports fans when they get mad and start vandalising, beating eachother and getting arested just because of that shit. Or even more crying and having a mental breakdown when their team loses or their favourite player gets an injury.
Truly, sports fans are much to be admired i suppose.
