Do you ever directly draw from your dreams while writing, /lit/? I've been having some incredibly vivid ones as of late, and have been writing them down when I wake up. I like the idea of incorporating them into my stories by giving them to my characters, not to manifest themes related to the narrative, or to foreshadow anything directly, but rather to give to the characters an unconscious depth that they otherwise wouldn't have. I don't like the idea of imposing significance on these dreams, but I think it adds an extra layer of intrigue that allows the reader to form their own connections. What do you think, /lit/?

Thanks for taking it easy on me. I'm familar with that Sontag essay, its part of the reason why I later dismissed my own essay as bullshit. You might like to know I finally watched Inland Empire a couple years later and got filtered hard, I didn't have a fucking clue what to make of it. Serves me right for thinking I have any kind of grasp on Lynch's praxis. Theres simply no way around it, the man eludes explanation, no matter what retarded youtubers like to think

It's a real shame because gullible posters who don't understand the post count are actually going to be drawn into this thinking there is a large community interest in Guenon, and that they are engaging with multiple people. If his thought was truly that revelational, you all wouldn't need to samefag so hard just to convert people, it should be able to speak for itself without all the schizoposting and shitty memes.

If you're going to bring stats into the discussion, at least try to be scrupulous, yeah? Making a statistical argument isn't a simple case of "here is everything that proves me right." This is simple to anyone who has read even an elementary textbook on the subject. Framing is incredibly important.

lmao I'm not butterfly, fun fact– I'm not even a woman. You fellas are just so easy to trigger. It has been an absolute pleasure, truly.

Oh I'm sorry, did I use a phrase that you had to google? I would've thought someone so attuned to FW would have no problems understanding latin. Why am I a pseudo-intellectual when I use big boy phrases, but when Joyce does it he produces "the best work of western literature"?

>You also forgot to capitalize the "there's" at the start of your post
You're not even trying to contend with the (admittedly indisputable) points I'm putting forward. All you can do is nitpick, a classic midwit coping mechanism, as though grammar or spelling even matters in a contest as casual as an image board.

>I think I get it now
No, you really don't. You won't truly understand until you finally stop making these self-indulgent threads.
