So, transhumanism is the belief about prolonging human life by using technology.

Here's a longer definition of it by Bostrom:

Prolonging human life by using our wits. I mean, weren't we doing this the whole time? (sure, technology is more advanced, but it's the same idea). Why give a name to it if that's more or less the whole point of civilization, and why make it into a kind of ideology without a fixed goal at all that claims to be scientific but moves through waves of speculation? (I mean... Marxists, Feminists, and co. have concrete goals they want to achieve). When will we know that we have "transcended", if they want to transcend the human problems, why include the word "human" at all? What are some of these folks even doing? What's the philosohy and psychology behind it? Any notable works?
