Like I said there are multiple charts, depending on what interests you. I think /leftypol/ would also be a good place to ask but they might just say read the sticky.

He was one of the most influential philosophers of all time, the fact that his philosophical work touches on economic and political dimensions makes it very heated.
His magnum opus, das kapital, is over 1000 pages long so very few people have read and studied it. His most popular work the manifesto is a very short pamphlet which I think has been widely read but doesn't give Marx (& Engels) full body of work justice.
Not to mention that a lot of political pundits and e-celebs tend to give their take on marx, even though they might have barely read him. Also Marx is inevitably tied up with all the socialist projects of the past and current, thus also all it's failures.

I would say to everyone here atleast give Marx a fair shot. Read his shorter works, if you find capital too big and dry, but don't just read the manifesto, read multiple works. These 3 should atleast give you an overview.

Not necessary, sure you could read Feuerbach to get a fuller understanding but the Theses on Feuerbach is literally just 3 pages. It was never published during Marx his lifetime and are just basic notes for The German Ideology which he was writting.
