Thanks to reading guenon I now believe that the world is Spirit and that materiality, senses, and ego are projections of Spirit reflecting from the void AKA materia prima and thus have no reality in and of themselves. This has caused an intense ennui and destroyed what little worldy ambitions I once clinged to, now that I am weary of the world my only hope is to cling to cosmic annihilation by subsuming my soul into the Godhead through the help of an initiatic organization.

I'm leaning towards doing an MA in English lit, possibly a PhD afterwards. I really don't know what else to do because I'm mostly useless. Grad students and academics of /lit/, is it worth it?

The Fool is the smartest character in the play. He takes pleasure in pointing out how stupid everyone else is. Pretend the Fool is the humor threads on /pol/ and everyone else in the play is contemporary society.

>Mario'd fallen in love with the first Madame Psychosis programs because he felt like he was listening to someone sad read out loud from yellow letters she'd taken out of a shoebox on a rainy P.M., stuff about heartbreak and people you loved dying and U.S. woe, stuff that was real. It is increasingly hard to find valid art that is about stuff that is real in this way. The older Mario gets, the more confused he gets about the fact that everyone at E.T.A. over the age of about Kent Blott finds stuff that's really real uncomfortable and they get embarrassed. It's like there's some rule that real stuff can only get mentioned if everybody rolls their eyes or laughs in a way that isn't happy. The worst-feeling thing that happened today was at lunch when Michael Pemulis told Mario he had an idea for setting up a Dial-a-Prayer telephone service for atheists in which the atheist dials the number and the line just rings and rings and no one answers. It was a joke and a good one, and Mario got it; what was unpleasant was that Mario was the only one at the big table whose laugh was a happy laugh; everybody else sort of looked down like they were laughing at somebody with a disability.
It seems the majority of books, tv shows, films, comics, &c, published today avoid stuff that's really real. What contemporary literature would Mario Incandenza like?

I'd say 'perpetual' is three, not four, syllables.
The art of the haiku is the third line related to the other two lines in a not so obvious but clever manner. Your haikus give an air of a sort of shallow idea of cleverness, because the third line isn't very intelligently connected to the other two; either the connection is too simple or there's no connection at all.
