I have a Cambridge Turquoise in blue goatskin. I've used it a lot. I'll probably use it more when I'm older because of the huge bold font. I prefer the Cambridge KJV Clarion in goatskin right now though. It's a nice modern text block, single column text, black letter, hand size but still includes the translators to the reader unlike many small KJV bibles.

I remember reading John in NKJV when I was a kid out of those Spirit-Filled Life Bibles.

When I became an adult and actually interested in the Bible I started reading KJV because that is what everyone else used.

I've never compared TBS Bibles to others because they are sort of in their own league. Unlike the other major publishers TBS is a Bible society and I suspect they are selling the Bibles close to the manufacturing price. You can't get a better Bible for what they are asking. Their 'Westminster' line in particular is a steal though, I used one for a long time.

Yes. So is the "longer" ending of Mark and the Pericope Adulterae.

Good evening brother. Ignore papists ramblings. Cast not your pearls before swine.

I really like biographies and memoirs of eminent Christians so I'll recommend you one of my favorites.

The Memoir and Remains of R.M. M'Cheyne. He was a Scottish minister in the early 1800s who was in no small part responsible for the revival in Dundee. Later he was sent to the Holy Land by the Church of Scotland on a mission of inquiry. This book contains a memoir of the event, letters written to his congregation while he was away, and a few sermons, tracts and hymns that he wrote. All in all it's very devotional. He died at only 29 years old.

I've been sticking with the R.M. M'Cheyne reading plan this year.
It takes you through the OT once and the NT and Psalms twice in one year.

Read the epistle to the Romans and the Gospel according to St. John first. They are the keys to the New Testament.

Read Romans and John. Then read and memorize the Westminster Shorter Catechism.
