Lovecraft's theme is that humans are lost and naive and so we should have humility and tact as we explore reality. The establishment preaches YOLO, send messages out to space, collide atoms, be egotistical and competitive, we have silicon valley CEOs talking about unleashing demons in terms of AI. So his works are at least a more thoughtful brand of nihilism than what the establishment pushes.

That seems like way too much work.

I have depression and anxiety. I've had them both pretty bad since middle school. And now I want to go into the mountains of Portugal with a trip sitter who will just hold me while I stare into the landscape for a couple hours on LSD, MDMA, or mushrooms.

I need to research this a bit more to find the right dosage, which drug to take, and what preparations to make such as food, duration, clothing and activities.

But fuck, I can´t read all that shit goddamn.
