I'm starting to hate being an authority figure. I've become a teacher and every day I must slowly carve away at the natural anarchic tendencies of my students to mold them into responsible adults. I just want to goof off again and spread pure merriment rather than laying down the law. I have brief moments of clarity during my workday where I ask myself the question "has this been me all these months?"

Does anyone else feel like, if a bunch of us /lit/ Anons got together, we could troll the New Yorker?

I mean, I know none of us here are terribly smart, but judging by this article, neither are they. We could probably mess with them if we wanted to.

They literally go from mourning Caesar to cheering Brutus to supporting Antony in the span of about 150 lines. I get that Antony's meant to be extremely persuasive, but it's a bad look for the common folk. It makes them all out as extraordinarily bestial, more fit to be ruled than rule.

At least I'm a published writer now, which I wasn't before. I'm still searching hard for an agent for the book I've written.

I have heard this, too. Not sure if true.
