Why do people say you can't be on 4chan and be a Christian? It's really not as hard as it seems. Just stay off the red boards and you're pretty good as far as avoiding the near occasion of sin.

It will be the Right, not the Left, that restarts history. If Fukuyama's thesis is that the debate between ideologies has been settled in favor of liberal democracy, then clearly the key to restarting history is to destroy liberal democracy as the dominant ideological hegemony.

Who do you think is more equipped to do that right now, between the Right and the Left? It sure as fuck isn't the Left, which is to committed to mass movements and an ideology of communitarian politics to ever meaningfully challenge liberal democracy. Hell, scratch the skin off any "communist" or DSA member and you'll get a boring, ordinary Democratic Party voter.

But the Right seems poised to abandon the idea of liberal democracy, after embracing it for almost 200 years. That's really exciting. There is now building consensus on the Western Right to abandon liberal democracy, and even to abandon democracy in total. Politics in representative democracy has always been a game between Left and Right. What happens when one side decides it doesn't want to play any more? Well, then, we start a NEW game, which will be played quite differently.
