What do people think about dedicating one year to the Iliad and Odyssey? Good themes, beauty and a reasonable introduction to ancient greek culture and literature from an early age. If you get lucky and have a good teacher who puts effort into the lessons and slides it would be pretty kino.

I'm looking to get into literature and start seriously reading again since high school as one of my new years resolutions. Been lurking for a while and I've got a few books in mind to check out.
I'm gonna fall for the greeks meme and pick up Homer's Illiad and Odyssey (which one should I read first?). Is there any others I should look into? Not too interested in philosophy atm
