He lives in a big house on Long Island with his family. He's not a mysterious recluse or anything. He just doesn't want to do interviews because he doesn't like the media. There's plenty of info about his life, and I assume anyone can do a bit of sleuthing and stalking and get another picture of him.

He doesn't hide except only in the media. He has family and friends and goes out and stuff. It's entirely possible that you can track him down and snap some photos but only one person seems to have done that so far.

It definitely won't be hard to do. He's not a literal recluse. He has family and friends and posts on /lit/. It's just that plebs don't care about "finding" him and those who love him are too respectful.

This the best anyone's got other than those yearbook and navy photos, and Pynchon yelled at the photographer who took it.
