Genuine question here

Is it actually good? I see so many mixed reviews and none of them come close to each other. Some say it's the most pretentious thing ever and others say it's one of the best books they've ever read.

I saw this green text about it once and it kind of put me on the side of this book is probably really bad.

It's basically one pseud's show with a thesaurus. It does get better insofar that at some point it stops being solely trite and pointless "but mom, you don't understand, it's supposed to be bad!" exposition, but I couldn't in all honesty recommend it to anyone not specifically interested in /lit/ memes.

What I mean is that it’s a shitty book compared to how people like you treat it. It’s better than a majority of the acclaimed contemporary books produced, but it’s still mediocre at best.
