Came across a reading of an Ellison story by the man himself.

Wonder if there's more. He's pretty damn good.

What are some collection by Harlan Ellison that have a lot of crazy sci-fi pulp stories like I Have No Mouth and Ticktock Man Said? I just read Paladin of the Lost Hour and I liked it but it's not what I'm looking for.

So what do you guys think of the classic SF writers? Ellison, Asimov, Dick, Heinlein, McCaffrey, and so on.

>"'Repent, Harlequin!' Said the Ticktockman" was written in 1965 in a single six-hour session as a submission to a Milford Writer's Workshop the following day. First appearing in the science fiction magazine Galaxy in December 1965, it won the 1966 Hugo Award, the 1965 Nebula Award and the 2015 Prometheus Hall of Fame Award."

I haven't felt much at all alive or at home with reading literature lately. I find that the more bullshit I get into with my life and my family, the more I find that so mainly "proclaimed" or "esteemed" authors from philosophy to literature just talk so much out of their ass that it's hard to figure out where they get their ideas of truth or how they even bother sleeping at night.

Too many times when people read or write, its just another manifesto about why said guy didn't get the chance to fuck his high school sweetheart and people just make up a lot of bullshit along the way to prove their point.

The only writers that I've ever been able to find myselves in were Maurice Blanchot for his dissertations on Orpheus, Hermann Broch for his long sentences because it reminded me of how often I was forced to add "more to it" to every fucking essay question in middle school science, and Harlan Ellison for his dry wit.

Too bad we'll never get more of the third one, won't we? Because you guys don't think he's smart enough yet Guenon, a guy with a shitty historical track record (no pun intended), is enough for a pass?
