Why are these threads tolerated? They're incredibly off-topic, all they are is excuses for people to be off-topic and to shitpost. Why aren't they deleted when they're made?

I have more than two dozen short stories, one novel, one other novel that's almost finished, a decent amount of poetry, and some fanfiction, including two enormous fanfics. I also have a finished screenplay (which I probably need to revise) and an incomplete script for the pilot episode of a TV show.

I only have a few short stories published. In the last year or so I've racked up a fuckton of "We were impressed with your writing, but this isn't a good fit for us right now" rejections. It's a little maddening.
