It's simple!
I don't purchase a non-reference book until I've read in on my Kindle at least three times and have loved each read. This keeps the library small and manageable, and I don't spend unnecessary money. It also let's me splurge on expensive vintage hardcovers. Educational shit like my piano lessons I buy immediately if I can't pirate and print them.

I started as a stoic but I graduated as a Taoist. The only difference is that I get drunk more and women are evil.

I only allow myself to own a hard copy of as many books as my numbered age. I haven't even gotten to 34 titles yet. The rest is on my kindle and I don't count educational shit like textbooks.
