There are animals (e.g. whales, polyps) and numerous plants that don't have to think or work to sustain themselves. Food and energy comes to them by design, as a consequence of simple physical laws.

One day humans will achieve the same ability and then all motivation talk about virtue of labor will be thrown into trash.

We have to live miserably not because there is virtue in misery, but because our biological design is flawed, slapped together by evolution without consideration of our feelings. And we don't have neither the necessary technology nor the political will to change it yet.
