I have to say I find it interesting that no matter where people fall politically almost everyone seems to view liberals(social, conservative, market, whatever) as being either irrelevant or opposition. My personally desired system is basically just market socialism but that's because I view politics from a very material perspective drawn from my economic education thus far.

Thank you for the suggestions and perspectives. I really appreciate you taking the time to go into all of that.

I went back to school at 22, finally hit uni at 25. I’m 27. English major.

Best times of my life. You will get introduced to many different classics and genres (as well as the history of thought surrounding them) in a way that gives you a baseline of knowledge while providing ample direction for further study.

My main professor is an absolute bro and definitely my mentor, like a father figure to me right now.

If you go, make sure you act out exactly how much you care, how hungry you are. Your professors will always react well to that and give you so much more. They’re extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects (although I might have gotten lucky with the cluster of English professors in my program).

11/10 best decision of my life.
