According to his writings, Plato seems to approve capital punishment, as long as it's done "for the greater good" (of society).

But you also have to understand that
- Plato himself probably believes there's existence after death (although he also argued about the opposite being possible), it's safe to assume he doesn't necessarily see death as "final"
- Plato's visions of ideal society would only put the very finest and wisest individuals (other than the nocturnal council-types) in charge of such judgments; he sees a "wrong" sentence among the highest possible injustices against humanity
- His work and ideas are deeply influenced by his perception of Socrates's sentence as inherently wrong.

I think he would probably be fine with death penalty in a context with near impossible (ideal) societal standards.
That said, it's really hard to pinpoint his genuine thoughts on the matter; he constantly explores contradicting visions of the same themes, using characters with purposely conflicting ideas to create a dialogue that compares multiple arguments/sides.
