When I read non-fiction books I feel like my mind is being infected by some schizophrenic ramblings. Is this normal? I think I'm going to stick to fiction because I'm not a masochist

What if my friends and family see me reading a book called The Gay Science? What then? How would you explain them it's not what it looks like?

ESL here, for some reason I always thought that "hack" (as a noun) meant a creator or author who did the same things over and over again, someone who repeated himself, as in "hacking the same tree" but apparently it simply means "person whose work I consider bad." Is this correct?

I'm buying a book but it's from another country's Amazon. Both are supposedly in 'good' condition. Which sounds like it's in better shape?
