Nietzsche is a hack. Of course, there is objective truth. He does not provide one demonstration that refutes a priori knowledge and the rationalistic understanding of God and the supreme nature of Being. Perspectivalism has Being as a presupposition, for how can there be multiple perspectives without Being and reason? Regardless, different perspectives are mere individualities that hold true for the individual but are still particular and contingent by comparison that which "is". His polemics against religion are spot on, but his attack on metaphysics doesn't make any sense outside of the context of the ascetic priest and is pure sophistry.

I am the OP. I have struggled with mental illness all my life so I don't know what it is to be normal. Yes, I have chronic depression, longterm catatonic states where I am stuck, and no, I don't take anything for it. I just know that when the spirit breaks free and I am able to write, to create in general, I am able to feel amazingly alive and totally free. I also paint and sculpt.
